The threat of severe thunderstorms is looming over parts of the north.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Chapleau - Gogama, Kirkland Lake - New Liskeard - Temagami and Timmins - Cochrane.
Meanwhile, a severe thunderstorm warning is in place for Kapuskasing - Hearst.
“Some of the thunderstorms developing over Northeastern Ontario may produce 1 to 2 cm hail and strong wind gusts,” reads an alert from Environment Canada.
Environment Canada warns people in the Kapuskasing - Hearst area to be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions.
