SUDBURY -- A raid on a Sturgeon Falls residence July 29 uncovered a host of illegal drugs, cash and led to the arrest of seven people.
The Ontario Provincial Police entered the Cache Bay Road home around 7 p.m., armed with a search warrant, and seized drugs they believe to be Fentanyl, crystal Methamphetamine, Methamphetamine tablets and Hydromorphone, along with drug paraphernalia and more than $6,500 in Canadian currency. The street value of the drugs seized is around $7,800.
As a result of the investigation, seven people were arrested and charged with drug possession and related charges. A 38-year-old from Nipissing First Nation is also charged with trafficking, as is a 43-year old from Sturgeon Falls.
Of the remaining suspects, four are from Sturgeon Falls, and the other is from Corbeil.
None of the allegations has been proven in court.
