The Timmins Police Service is asking for the public’s help in solving a robbery of an equipment rental business located on the west end of Timmins.

Police say that during the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 12, unknown suspects broke through the fence of a business located on Riverside Drive in Timmins.

The company, Timmins Rent All & Equipment Sales, says thanks to neighbouring businesses they are able to determine that a pickup truck and trailer parked at the Kal Tire on Riverside at 1:36 am on February 12, suspects broke the lock on their gate, drove the two commercial Argos off the property and onto their awaiting trailer, then drove away at 1:47 am heading west.

The individuals left with two all-terrain machines described as:

  • 2015 Argo XTI Bright yellow, with two tracks, and a roof with windshield and cargo bed, Serial Number 2DGS000Y4FNK37682 
  • 2017 Argo XTI Dark yellow, with four tracks and a roof and windshield, Serial Number 2DGSSA0Y8HNK39308.

Each of these machines is valued at $60,000.

Total of theft and property damage during this crime exceeds $120,000.

The business believes this incident is connected to another theft that happened last fall.
