Update
Sault Ste. Marie police say as a result of the fire at 89 Hudson Street, a 60-year-old man has died.
He was transported to hospital with injuries related to the fire, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police remain on the scene while they wait for the Fire Marshal to arrive to begin the investigation.
The cause of death and fire have not yet been determined.
Roadways in the area will remained closed, so the public is asked to use alternate routes.

A fire in the west end of downtown Sault Ste. Marie started overnight and continues to burn Monday morning.
Fire crews got the call at 11:21 pm Sunday night about a blaze at a buildilng on Queen Street West at Hudson Street.
Sources tell CTV News that the fire appears to have begun at the Dime nightclub, formerly known as Studio 10.
City crews are working to remove snowbanks in the area to clear storm sewers and allow the water runoff to drain from firefighting efforts.
More than 25 firefighters are involved on the scene.
The case is being jointly handled by Sault Ste. Marie Police and Fire Services in conjunction with the Ontario Fire Marshal.
City officials are asking the public to avoid the area until the fire has been brought under control.
The Korah Road transit route has been redirected and will be using Huron and Albert. For more information, contact City Transit at 705-759-5438.
Red Cross is on the scene to assist those who have been impacted by the fire.
