Sault police still searching for suspect wanted in 2023 stabbing

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is renewing its call for the public’s help to find the main suspect in a 2023 stabbing attack.
Tyler Abbott, 25, is wanted in connection with an assault that took place in the 500 block of Queen Street West on Aug. 20, 2023.
“The suspect stabbed the victim, who is known to them, causing serious injuries,” police said in a news release Thursday.
Abbott is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, weapons possession and failing to comply with an undertaking.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Sault police at 705-949-6300.
