Police investigate sudden death near Sundridge

Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police are currently investigating a death in the Village of South River, Ont.

Police responded Wednesday to a report of a dead body found in a residence on Ottawa Avenue in South River.

“A post-mortem is being conducted … to determine a cause of death and the Almaguin Highlands OPP (say) there is no risk to public safety,” the OPP said in a news release Thursday.

“Residents in the area will continue to see an increased police presence.”
