Police clear scene near Highways 11 & 654

Provincial police say they have concluded their investigation in Callander, Ont., south of North Bay, after asking residents to avoid the area of Highway 11 and Highway 654 on Saturday morning.
“North Bay OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) have concluded their investigation,” said police in a social media update.
“Police resources are clearing the area of Highway 11 and Highway 654 in Callander.”
Police did not release any details about the investigation that was taking place.
Shortly before 9 a.m., OPP had asked area residents to avoid the municipality’s south end.
“There are no concerns for public safety at this time,” police said on social media.
“Please report any suspicious activity to the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.”
CTV News has reached out to provincial police for more information on the incident but has yet to receive a response.
