SUDBURY -- A young person from Blind River has been charged after a stabbing attack Oct. 22.
The incident took place just in the evening hours of Oct. 22 on Chiblow Street in the community. A 14-year-old was stabbed and taken to Health Sciences North Sudbury with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police were called at noon Oct. 23. A little more than four hours later, a 15-year-old from Blind River was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
The teen is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Dec. 10.
"The investigation is continuing and more information will be released when available," police said in a news release Monday.
