Ontario Provincial Police from Sault Ste. Marie are asking for the public’s help in a home invasion case that took place last week in cottage country north of the city.

Police say it happened around 3 am on Thursday, March 14 around Wildwood Drive in Aweres Township.

It is alleged that suspects entered the home, attacked the home owner, and made off with a safe, several guns and ammunition. A sport-utility vehicle was used to flee the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim was treated for minor injuries at the hospital.

Police are asking that anyone with information regarding the incident or person(s) involved contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
