Gianni Farinon of Ottawa won November's Health Sciences North 50/50 take-home jackpot of $485,668, HSN announced Monday.

“Even though I’ve been away from Sudbury for many years, I still feel a great connection to the northeast and I know the importance of enhanced healthcare all over the province,” Farinon said in a news release.

“I’m in complete disbelief. Supporting health care causes is close to my family’s heart and playing the HSN 50/50 was just another way for us to do our part. Winning never even entered into the equation. It has been a really incredible day.”
