Update:
The Ontario Fire Marshal is continuing to investigate an early morning fire that happened this week at a commercial and residential building in Sault Ste. Marie.
Officials say there was an explosion on the main floor where a nail salon is located. They say the fire then spread from there to the other businesses and second floor apartments.
Fire officials say the nail salon has the most severe damage.
Safety experts are examining the natural gas line and some appliances inside the building to determine the cause of the explosion.
"Part of the origin and cause investigation, once we determined that the origin of the deflagration was the north section of the building, we have to look at all potential causes, so we're looking at all potential causes in this building at this time," said James Allen, Ontario Fire Marshal investigator.
McNabb Street has re-opened, but the building remains blocked off.
