The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says there are still 68 fires burning in the region and 27 are not under control.
One of them is just south of Temagami on Highway 11.
After a meeting of the emergency management committee, consisting of town officials, police and MNRF representatives, it's been decided that an evacuation order is staying in place for provincial parks in the area and for about 20 homes in an area from Temagami to Jessie Lake.
