The Native Education and Training College in North Bay is expanding.

A new 5,000 square foot space will be opened at the college this December.

The $25,000 renovation will include expanded labs for students in the school's personal support worker and early childhood educator programs.

"It means that they can have a place to congregate on a daily basis and enroll on their academic studies. It's a good opportunity to advance their education." said Larry Stewart, NETC campus director.

The school has around 300 students enrolled, most of them online.
