Neighbour dispute leads to charges in northern Ont.

East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police have charged one person in Elliot Lake in connection with an ongoing neighbour dispute.

Police responded May 17 to a complaint on Ste Camillus Crescent in the city.

“The complainant reported ongoing disputes with a neighbour,” police said in a news release Monday.

“On this date, the neighbour threatened to damage property belonging to the complainant. A recording of the event was provided to police and one person was arrested and charged.”

The 60-year-old from Elliot Lake was charged with threatening to damage property.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on July 11.
