Using dental records, investigators were able to identify his remains found west of Marion Street on April 28, Sudbury police said in a news release Thursday.

"Detectives have concluded the investigation into Carey's death," police said.

"The circumstances of his death are not suspicious."

No further information about the death will be provided, police said, as per the family's wishes.

Cadeau was scheduled to work nightshift the day after he disappeared and never showed up, Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers said on his missing person poster.

"His family became concerned as this was out of character for him and notified police," Crime Stoppers said.

"Police conducted an extensive search with the assistance of the search and rescue team, canine unit and the OPP helicopter. However, no trace of Carey was discovered."
