One person has been killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 17 near the northwestern Ontario community of Rossport.
The roadway remains closed Friday afternoon as police deal with the scene.
Ontario Provincial Police in Nipigon responded just before 5 a.m. Friday, along with fire and EMS, to the crash, which involved a commercial motor vehicle just west of Rossport.
“At this time, at least one individual has been pronounced deceased,” the OPP said in a news release.
The OPP North West Region traffic incident management and enforcement team and OPP collision reconstructionists are helping with the ongoing investigation.
