Full fuel tank was dangling from transport on Hwy. 17, northern Ont. police say

The driver of a commercial motor vehicle has been charged after police noticed something dangling underneath the vehicle.

North Bay Ontario Provincial Police stopped the tractor-trailer on June 28 as it travelled on Highway 17 around 5 p.m.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out it was a “fuel tank dangling, full of fuel,” the OPP said on social media.

“Inspection resulted in driver charged for operating CMV with a major defect,” police said.
