Manitoulin suspect charged with criminally harassing municipal staff

A 57-year-old from Gore Bay has been charged with two counts of criminal harassment.

The suspect is accused of harassing staff at Billings Township, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Friday.

The investigation began April 9 when they received a complaint.

“Township staff reported ongoing unwanted communication from a member of the community,” police said.

The accused has been charged with two counts of criminal harassment and was held in custody ahead of appearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay today (Friday).
