SUDBURY -- Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a person was discovered and later pronounced dead at a residence in Burpee & Mills Township Nov. 26.

Police were called around 5:33 p.m., responding with Sudbury-Manitoulin Emergency Services.

"A 42-year-old person was found at that location and pronounced dead by EMS," police said in a news release Tuesday. "The cause of death is still under investigation but public safety is not a concern."

A post-mortem examination took place in Toronto on Nov. 29. The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Manitoulin OPP Crime Unit in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
