Polish-owned mining company KGHM is cutting 22 jobs at its Morrison Mine in the Greater Sudbury community of Levack.
The company says the move is necessary due to low mineral prices.
It says all 22 workers are being given severance packages and benefits extensions and will be recalled if economic conditions change.
The union representing the workers, United Steelworkers Local 2020 tells CTV news that it's still gauging the full impact on its members and could not immediately comment.
