SUDBURY -- An inquest wrapped up Thursday at the Sudbury courthouse in a construction fatality from December 2013.
It happened on Dominion Drive, west of Val Therese.
Marc Lafreniere, a prominent Sudbury contractor, was operating an excavator in a rural swampy area when the machine tipped, broke through the ice and into water, trapping him.
The coroner's jury came up with four recommendations to prevent similar deaths in the future.
