SUDBURY -- Sudbury's Cinefest International Film Festival to feature pre-recorded discussions with filmmakers and actors of some of the featured movies.

They say the show will go on and it is.

'The People's Film Festival' kicks off this weekend and runs until Sept. 27.

Officials say they thrilled to announce a new addition called In Conversation, pre-recorded discussions with filmmakers and actors of some of the featured films.

"We have always had great Q and A's with film guests who are in town. Obviously, with COVID, we can't actually bring guests in during the week of the festival, so we are pre-recording a number of great conversations with talent that is associated with the films," said Patrick O'Hearn, the managing director of Cinefest.

The conversations will play after both in-theatre and online screenings.

Officials of the film festival are encouraging people to purchase tickets in advance, on-line or in person at the Cinefest office located at 40 Larch Street.
