The chief and council of Garden River First Nation are investigating the illegal dumping of waste product.
The council says the unauthorized dumping was recently discovered in a section of the First Nation.
Officials say new measures are in place after it was determined companies from outside of the First nation community were dumping waste.
An engineering report indicated construction and demolition debris, hydrocarbons and material containing asbestos were found on site.
First Nation officials say there is no health risk or danger to residents.
