North Bay police are on the scene of a homicide investigation in the Pinewood area of the city.
They say a man was found Wednesday night suffering from gunshot wounds, and later died in hospital.
A neighbour tells CTV News that at approximately 8:55 pm on Wednesday three gunshots could be heard coming from a home at the corner of Beattie and Vimy Street.
Neighbours in the Pinewood area of the city say shortly after the gunshots were heard; a police presence blanketed the area.
“When I opened the window, there was a guy standing beside my driveway with a rifle, one of the police officers, one out the front with a police officer and there was one behind the car out on the street with another rifle.” said resident Ray Gravelle.
Police say a male victim was located inside the home suffering gunshot wounds. He was then taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Abraham Kamerman.
Police are now searching for two male suspects driving a blue Chevrolet car and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
They’re also looking for anyone in the area who may have security footage outside their home.
