Ontario Provincial Police say Highway 17 closed Wednesday around noon between Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa.
It is due to a portion of the road being washed out.
Reopening time is unknown.
Just before noon on Wednesday, police reported a traffic hazard on Highway 17 between Havilland Shores Road and Wolf Lake Road in Goulais River due to a large volume of water across the roadway.
