Health Sciences North partners with NEOMO to increase COVID-19 testing

Health Sciences North (HSN) will be increasing its testing capacity in a new partnership with the Ontario College of Family Physicians.
In a news release late Saturday morning, HSN confirmed it has secured an additional testing site at the NEOMO Medical office located at 885 Prete Street. Testing will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week.
Patients will be screened by a nurse over the phone and referred to the site as required. All assessment options are by appointment only. For safety reasons, walk-in appointments are strictly prohibited.
Patients with any of the following symptoms must call HSN’s COVID-19 Assessment Center at 705-671-7373:
- Fever or chills
- Sore throat
- New onset or worsening fatigue
- Loss of taste or smell
- New onset or worsening cough
- Loss of appetite
- Runny nose
- Muscle aches
- Nausea or diarrhea
- Shortness of breath
If you are having difficulty breathing or experiencing other severe symptoms, call 911 immediately. Advise them of your symptoms and travel history.
