Forest fire reported in northern Ontario

There is one active wildland fire in the northeast region, officials said Thursday.

“Hearst 1 was confirmed Thursday afternoon,” Forest Fires Ontario said.

“It measures 0.4 of a hectare and is located approximately four kilometres southeast of Hallébourg.”

The fire hazard is mostly moderate in areas of the region located south of Timmins and Wawa.
