Monday is the first day of a trial involving the Sudbury paving firm, Interpaving, on 3 health and safety charges related to the death of a pedestrian in 2015.
The trial is not expected to last long, as the court heard that the company will plead guilty to all charges later this week.
Inter-paving is charged, along with the City of Greater Sudbury, in connection with the death of 58-year-old Cecille Paquette. The woman died after being hit by a grader that was backing up during a downtown paving project.
The city is also facing health and safety charges, and that trial is set to begin Wednesday.
The family of the victim is also suing for $2-million.
