Fire at Sudbury apartment complex, one resident displaced, a pet lost
Residents of the Balmoral Apartments on Bruce Avenue in Sudbury were evacuated from the building around 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

“(The fire) was in one unit; it was contained to the unit in the kitchen,” added Oshell.
Four Sudbury-area fire stations attended the call and quickly contained the fire.Several fire crews were on the scene at the Balmoral Apartments on Bruce Avenue in Sudbury as residents were evacuated on Oct. 15/22. (Daniel Bertrand/CTV News Northern Ontario)The fire is now extinguished.
One resident has been displaced as a result of the fire. All other residents are now allowed to return to their homes.
“Unfortunately, they lost their cat in the fire,” Oshell said.
