Elliot Lake man wins $100K in lottery
Peter Chiu won $100K with Encore playing Ontario 49. (Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation)
An Elliot Lake man is one of northern Ontario's latest lottery winners after winning $100,000 playing the Encore.
The lottery add on paid off for Peter Chiu, who matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the March 16 Ontario 49 draw.
"The winning ticket was purchased at Foodland on Hillside Drive in Elliot Lake," Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation said in a news release.
"Encore offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an Encore draw every day."
