SUDBURY -- Following calls from Premier Doug Ford to ramp up testing efforts, Health Sciences North is adding a drive-thru option at its assessment centre.
In statement released Thursday night, Health Sciences North says it plans to increase the amount of COVID-19 testing at its assessment centre at 56 Walford Road, beginning on Friday, April 10.
Hospital officials sayHSN plans to test hundreds of more people in the coming weeks.
All assessments and drive-thru testing are done by appointment only.
The site has been designed to ensure the safety of health care workers and patients. For safety reasons, "walk-in" appointments are strictly prohibited.
If you have any of the following symptoms, call the assessment centre at 705-671-7373:
- Fever or chills
- New onset or worsening fatigue
- New onset or worsening cough
- Loss of appetite
- Muscle aches
- Shortness of breath
- Sore throat
- Loss of taste or smell
- Headache
- Runny nose
- Nausea or diarrhea
If you are having difficulty breathing or experiencing other severe symptoms, you should call 911 immediately and advise them of your symptoms and travel history.
