SUDBURY -- The area around the collision has been cleared and Regent Street is now fully open, Greater Sudbury Police said late Wednesday afternoon.

One southbound lane heading out of town is now open, Greater Sudbury Police said Wednesday afternoon.

"Police, fire, paramedics as well as tow truck operators are working on scene," police said in a tweet. "Please be vigilant and extra observant while they work diligently to perform their respective duties."

Both southbound lanes on Regent Street in Greater Sudbury are currently blocked, Greater Sudbury Police said in a tweet Wednesday afternoon.

Police, paramedics and firefighters are at the scene of the crash, which took place at the corner of Algonquin Road and Loach's Road.

"Report of two-vehicle collision," the tweet said. "Motorists should expect delays in the area. Please slow down and drive with caution."

One lane of traffic will reopen once emergency crews deal with any injuries.
