Cocaine, meth, heroin, stun gun seized in northwestern Ont. drug bust

Three people in Marathon, Ont., have been charged with drug and weapons offences after police raided a residence in the community on Wednesday.

Around noon on Aug. 21, the Marathon Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Coveney Street.

"The investigation resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin," police said in a news release Thursday.

"Canadian currency, a conductive energy weapon and other items associated with drug trafficking were also seized."

Two suspects from Marathon, ages 41 and 30, have been charged with weapons offences drug trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.

The third suspect, age 27 and also from Marathon, has been charged with drug trafficking and heroin possession.

The accused are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Marathon.
