The James Bay Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the public's help in solving two break-ins that police believe took place in Cochrane on July 3 or 4.

“First, the New Hope Church on Fifth Street was entered in the early morning hours of July 4, computers were accessed and an acoustic guitar was stolen,” the OPP said in a news release Wednesday.

“Also reported on July 4 … the Scout Hall on Eleventh Avenue was entered sometime between 6 p.m. on July 3, and 5 p.m. on July 4 ... The front door was found to be pried open, items were taken and knives were left stabbed into the wall.”
