Get ready for an old fashioned winter storm.
School boards across a big swath of the north are preparing for it and many cancelled school bus transportation because of a weather system that is crossing Lake Superior, effecting bus service in the Algoma District, Nipissing – Parry Sound District, and from Kirkland Lake to Temagami in the North East Tri-Board.
Ground zero is Sault Ste. Marie, where up to 25 centimetres of snow is expected by Monday evening. Here is the scene in the Sault Monday morning:
It started around 10 am and the conditions deteriorated after that.
The Sault Ste. Marie Airport is also reporting delays and cancellations.
Other parts of the northeast are expected to get snow too. The precipitation is expected to change to freezing drizzle.
