In Sudbury, the local Chamber of Commerce honoured the business community Tuesday night.
Both young entrepreneurs and established companies were celebrated at the 21st annual Bell Business Excellence Awards.
There were 27 finalists in nine categories.
The winners are:
- Barrydowne Paint for Entrepreneur of the Year
- DIY Craftery & Lounge for Innovation
- Doctor Kevin Mccormick for Executive of the Year
- Guilty Pleasures Bakeshop and Bar for Young Entrepreneur of the Year
- Kuppajo Espresso for Small Enterprise
- Northern Lights Festival Boreal for Not-for-profit Charity Excellence
- Skater's Edge, Source for Sports for the Service Excellence
- Wolfpack Protective Services for Business Start-Up
- Workforce for Best Place to Work
Organizers say the award winners are positive role models who have shown efforts to improve the community.
