SUDBURY -- Another holiday giving campaign wrapped up on Saturday in Sudbury.

Home Instead Senior Care held a wrapping party for all of the presents collected during its Be a Santa to a Senior campaign.

This is the 10th year for the initiative in the Nickel City that sees people purchase gifts for seniors that live in long-term care, retirement homes and apartments.

"The seniors are just so amazed that somebody in the community that didn't know them took the time out to buy them a Christmas gift... its amazing that we get to make them smile, spread some holiday cheer and reach all those seniors in our community that are isolated and don't have family," commented Nikki Sage, Home Instead Senior Care.

Over 50 volunteers gathered at the Parkside Centre to wrap and distribute gifts for over 400 seniors in the community.
