SUDBURY -- The Ontario Provincial Police in North Bay responded to a report of an all-terrain vehicle rollover at 11:30 p.m. Aug. 1 on Pioneer Road in Boulter Township.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was brought to hospital by ambulance, the OPP said in a news release Wednesday.
"Officers conducted an investigation and completed tests at the hospital, resulting in the driver being arrested for impaired driving," police said.
A 20-year-old Bonfield man is now charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood/alcohol concentration higher than the legal limit.
He was released on an appearance notice and will be in the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on Oct. 6.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days and the drivers licence was subject to a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension.
"This incident marks 29 drivers charged under the criminal impaired driving laws in the North Bay detachment," police said.
"If you suspect that someone is driving or about to drive impaired by alcohol or drugs, please call 911 to report it."
