Responding to a complaint, Ontario Provincial Police have charged an ATV driver with impaired driving.

Police were contacted around 5 p.m. July about an ATV on Genesee Lake Road in Powassan.

The 26-year-old from Powassan was charged and had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days. The ATV was impounded for a week.

The suspect is scheduled to appear at the North Bay Ontario Court of Justice on Aug. 6.

“The OPP remind motorists, should you observe a suspected impaired driver, please dial 911 or contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122,” police said in a news release Friday.
