One of Sault Ste. Marie's busiest tourist spots is celebrating its heritage this weekend by hosting its annual 'Bushplane Days'.

For the past 24 years, the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre picks a weekend to open its doors and throw a party to celebrate everything it has to offer.

The party includes planes, as well as bouncy castles, treetop climbing and trains on display at the museum.

The days are meant for everyone to have a good time.

Organizers say 'Bushplane Days' have sure changed over time.

"It started 24 years ago, and they have grown considerably from an afternoon that they would've come in with their classes and just toured the few planes that we had back then… To the 29 planes we have now, every year we add to it to give more to the community to come and have fun and stay all day," said Edie Suriano, Bushplane Days organizer.

In previous years, a popular water bomber exhibited a swoop down to pick up water before dropping it back into the river. Unfortunately for this edition, the water bomber was unable to be on display.
