6-year-old gets birthday wish from Cochrane police

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers with the Cochrane detachment made a 6-year-old boy's birthday very special.6-year-old Jack was on his way to his birthday party when he and his mother stopped at the Cochrane OPP station in hopes of him saying hello to an officer. (Supplied)In the afternoon Oct. 29, young Jack Johnstone was on his way to his own sixth birthday party when he and his mother stopped at the OPP station on to see if he could meet an officer.

"They (all) came out for him," said Jack's mother, Natalie Lajeunesse in a message to CTV News.

Lajeunesse shared the evidence in a Facebook post Saturday.

Jack was dressed in costume as an officer himself.The family told CTV News they are forever grateful for the officers taking the time on Oct. 29/22 to make Jack's day special. (Supplied)"These officers took some time out of their day to make my son feel like one of the team!" added Lajeunesse in an email.

"We are forever grateful."

His mother said he will remember his sixth birthday for the rest of his life.
