North Bay suspect charged with attempted murder in recent stabbing attack

A 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in North Bay in connection with a stabbing that took place June 27.

Police responded to the attack around 6:30 p.m. June 27 in the 1200 block of Lakeshore Drive.

“The victim was located outside a residence, suffering from multiple stab wounds,” North Bay police said in a news release Thursday.

“He was being assisted by individuals that had gathered to help. EMS transported the victim to hospital where he was later discharged.”

The suspect was arrested June 28. He is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, weapons possession and violating a probation order.

The victim was airlifted to Sudbury for treatment where he was listed in stable condition. Police believe the victim and assailant are known to one another.
