North Bay OPP respond to ATV collision, lay impaired driving charges

A 48-year-old from a community near North Bay has been charged following a collision involving an ATV towing a boat.

Ontario Provincial Police responded around 1 p.m. July 23 to the single-vehicle collision on Chiswick Line in Chisholm Township.

An investigation of the crash led to several charges for the resident of Ear Falls, including taking a vehicle without consent, driving while prohibited, impaired driving and careless driving.

The accused's driver's licence was suspended for 90 days and they are scheduled to appear at the North Bay Ontario Court of Justice on Aug. 13

The OPP remind motorists to report impaired drivers by dialing 911 or contacting the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
