A worker was injured after they were pinned between a building and equipment in Sudbury on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Labour confirms an Interpaving Limited employee was injured at a work site.

EMS attended the scene and the worker was transported to hospital.

The MOL said one requirement was issued to the employer for the production of documentation. The ministry would not say where the work site was located.

In a statement to CTV, Interpaving confirms an injury did take place at one of its construction sites.

It said a veteran employee injured his foot while operating as asphalt spreader.

The employee was taken to Health Sciences North for treatment and has been released. The employee suffered bruising, no bones were broken.

The injury has been deemed non-critical by the MOL.

Interpaving's health and safety team, along with the ministry, is conducting an investigation
