Engine trouble causes vehicle on fire on Highway 11, police say
CTV News has learned of a vehicle fire Friday afternoon on Highway 11 near Ramore, Ont., east of Timmins.
A video (shown above) sent to us by viewer Katrina Hass shows first responders on the scene and a vehicle engulfed in flames and billowing black smoke.
“I mean, it is hard to tell,” said another occupant in the vehicle filming the video, referring to what happened to cause the blaze.
Police informed CTV News Monday that no collision occured and no injuries were reported in the incident.
"The vehicle had engine trouble causing fire," said Ontario Provincial Police Const. Michelle Simard, in an email to CTV News.
"No collision, no injuries."
Hass said the video was taken about 2:30 p.m.
