The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is reaching out to the public for tips about a moose that was shot and abandoned near Timmins.

A local resident found it northwest of the city on the side of Highway 655 and reported it to the ministry.

Conservation officers attended the scene on December 19th, 2018 and determined that the young bull moose had been shot and left a few days earlier. 

They ask if anyone knows anything about this crime to contact the MNRF tips line at 1-877-847-7667 or crime stoppers at 1-800-222-tips (8477).
