The world's longest hockey game is finally over; a full 251 hours after the players first took to the ice outside Edmonton.

40 people took part in the event that began on an outdoor rink in Sherwood Park on February 9th.

Just making it into the record book wasn't enough for these hearty players, who stayed on the ice for another hour.

The event was also a fundraiser for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
