Lakeshore man charged with assaulting officer after family dispute

A 32-year-old Lakeshore man is facing several charges following a family dispute.

On Wednesday at 3 p.m., police responded to a family dispute at a residence in Lakeshore.

As a result of the investigation, a Lakeshore has been charged with the following offences:

• Assault
• Mischief Under $ 5,000
• Assault A Peace Officer with a weapon (Four Counts)

The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing by members from the Lakeshore detachment with the assistance of Essex County OPP Crime Unit.
