Update: 

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) - On April 18, 2019, The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Kirkland Lake Detachment received information that a male wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant may be in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. 

As a result of the investigation, police located the male at a residence on Second Street in the Town if Kirkland Lake. Fern JOYAL, 25 years of age, was arrested on the outstanding warrant from The Kingston Police Service without incident.

Police are looking for a 25-year-old man who is known to frequent some northern Ontario communities. 

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad is looking for 25-year-old Fern Joyal for a breach of statutory release, which is not parole; it is a mandatory release with conditions after serving two-thirds of a sentence.

Joyal is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • 5’9” (175 centimetres), 190 pounds (86 kilograms)
  • Brown hair, hazel eyes
  • Several tattoos: star on his right cheek, Skull 777 Native Pride on his right forearm, HNIC on left side of his neck, SHELBY on the right side of his neck, and a skull holding two guns on the center of his neck

He is serving a three year and four month sentence for:

  • Break and enter with intent
  • Uttering threats to cause death or harm
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Several charges related to the possession of a weapon

The offender is known to frequent the North Bay, Temiskaming Shores, Kingston, and Toronto areas.
