Vehicle forced into a ditch near where kids were playing in North Bay road rage incident
A 25-year-old man has been charged with assault and driving offences after what police are calling a road rage incident in North Bay.
The incident began around 3 p.m. Aug. 5 when the suspect and the victim were driving in opposite directions Premier Road.
“The accused changed directions and began to follow the victim’s vehicle,” North Bay police said in a news release.
“Both the victim and accused exited their vehicles and a physical altercation ensued. The victim then re-entered his vehicle and attempted to leave the location at which point he was again followed by the accused.”
At that point, the man used his vehicle to hit the victim’s vehicle, driving it into a ditch near where children were playing.

“The accused then pulled the victim from his vehicle and physically assaulted him,” police said.
“Police attended the area and arrested the accused.”
Charges include assault, assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, careless driving and mischief under $5,000.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is set to appear before the court Sept. 10.
